Advisory Services

We offer a comprehensive range of advisory services.  We take time to understand your business so that we can provide concise and effective advice.

Accounting Software Selection

We will take the time to understand the information technology needs of your business. We can then assist in the evaluation of functionality, cost and portability, and create the right software environment for your business through installation, configuration and training.

Business Start Up

We can help you set up the most appropriate entity for your business, whether a sole proprietership, partnership, or incorporation. We can also assist you with introductions to bankers and lawyers to provide a seamless transition.

Purchase & Sale of a Business

Careful planning and preparation are key to the successful purchase or sale of a business. Regardless if you are the buyer or seller, we can assist you with the valuation issues, cash flow analysis, tax considerations and transition implementation.

Budgets & Cash Flow Preparation

Many small businesses focus on the cash they have today and can overlook future requirements. We can provide forecasts and assess your cash flow and financial requirements.

Estate Planning

Regardless of whether you own a business or simply want to ensure the safe passage of your lifetime assets, estate planning is important. We will work with you and your lawyer to ensure that designated beneficiaries receive the maximum benefit from your estate.

Controllership Services

If you think your business is too small to have a Chief Financial Officer, think again. Many professional firms offer part-time controllership services. We can provide hands-on advice about financial controls and procedures, business proposals, assist in month-end processes and help ensure your business is in compliance with regulatory agencies.

Did You Know

The Income Tax Act holds directors of a corporation personally responsible for unremitted GST/HST, payroll withholdings, and interest and penalties. Because a “director” is not defined in the Act, this could include de jure directors (lawfully appointed) as well as de facto directors (persons acting as directors).
